Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks

Posted on Updated on

Today feels like summer and so does this track. Pumped Up Kicks has that relaxing indie-feel with hand-claps, echoes, and more- including an anthem-like chorus that will have you chanting along in no time. With this track, I fully believe Foster The People are headed for some big things in the future. I love their vibe and you just might too.

The LA 4-piece are new to the scene having only refined their sound and style late 2009 but their already making a splash. And with MGMT deviating from their traditional style, much speculation has already started over who will fill that void: these guys could be a candidate. It’s catchy and fresh containing a unique style that can only be called their own.

Check out their website for more beats.

WHY ARE YOU POSTING ON HYPE MACHINE A SONG LIKE FOSTER THE PEOPLE IF IT’S ALREADY THERE, WHY DON’T YOU POST THEIR NEW SONGS INSTEAD?
”Chin music for the unsuspecting hero”
    ”Downtown”

these blogs are good for nothing.

because this is not a blog devoted to new music.

i post what i want, when i want, and what i like… there’s a reason i have included “new and old” in the heading when it comes to the genres i get into. and like everyone’s taste mine fluctuates constantly.

Even more importantly… i believe the artist deserves compensation for their work so a lot of really, really new stuff I won’t post but instead toss up buy links… this post was simply a way for people to get introduced to FTP if they had never heard them before (and i chose my favourite song for that)
